CMA Intermediate is the second level of the CMA programme conducted by ICMAI. It consists of 8 papers divided into 2 groups, covering core subjects like Cost Accounting, Financial Management, Direct & Indirect Taxation, Corporate Law, and Audit.

Two routes: (1) Students who have passed CMA Foundation, or (2) Graduates from any discipline (B.Com, BBA, B.Sc, BA — except Fine Arts) can register directly via the direct entry route, skipping Foundation entirely.

Each paper carries 100 marks. Minimum 40% per paper and 50% aggregate per group is required to pass. Students can attempt Group 1 and Group 2 separately or together. Exams are held in June and December.
